Toad Crossing Group

Volunteer toad patrols are organised between February and April to help migrating toads cross the road safely at dusk.   Toads migrate each year to their ancestral breeding ponds and follow the same route, including crossing roads when many are sadly run over by cars.  They are mostly likely to be seen at dusk when it's warm and damp.

Location: a registered toad crossing site on Gilberts End Lane, between Jessamine and Maisey Cottages.    Go to www.Froglife.org and search for Toads on Roads.
